Maternal Mental Health Workshop

Maternal Mental Health for Mothers

The Raising Her Project proudly hosted its 2nd Annual Workshop focused on mental health awareness for mothers—and what an impactful event it was!

We were honored to welcome Kasey Griner, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who provided essential insights into risk factors, treatment options, and local resources available to our community. Her guidance empowered attendees with practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of mental wellness.

We were also joined by other passionate local organization leaders, who shared resources and thoughtful feedback that helped strengthen the connection between support systems and families.

A special thank you to NAMI Moultrie Affiliate, who sponsored books recommended by Kasey Griner, ensuring participants left with tools to continue their mental health journey beyond the event.

We closed the workshop with a heartfelt group activity, “Planting Good Seeds,” designed to encourage personal growth, positive mental health habits, and long-term wellbeing. Each participant took home a symbolic reminder of the strength and resilience we continue to nurture together.
