OUR MISSION
NextHer empowers pregnant and parenting teen mothers through mentorship, education, and supportive resources to help them thrive in motherhood, complete their education, and build brighter futures.
OUR VISION
NextHer envisions a future where every pregnant and parenting teen mother is empowered, supported, and equipped to reach her full potential and create a better future for herself and her child.
Motherhood may have changed your journey—but it has not changed your purpose.
At NextHer, we believe every expecting and parenting teen mother deserves the opportunity to grow, succeed, and build a bright future for herself and her child. Through mentorship, education, life skills, and meaningful support, we empower young mothers to overcome barriers, discover their strengths, and embrace what's next with confidence.
No matter where your story begins, this is not the end—it is the start of your next chapter.

NextHer is committed to empowering teen mothers beyond graduation by investing in their future. Beginning with the Class of 2027, two graduating senior participants will be selected to receive a $500 educational scholarship to support their next chapter after high school.
Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on their active participation in the NextHer program, commitment to personal growth, educational achievement, leadership, and completion of the required scholarship application and essay.
Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient’s accredited college, university, technical school, or approved workforce training program.
Our goal is to celebrate the resilience of young mothers and provide meaningful support as they pursue higher education, career training, and long-term success for themselves and their children.

Too many women die each year in this country during pregnancy or in the year postpartum. Every death is a tragedy, especially when more than 80% of pregnancy-related deaths could be prevented.

The Black Mamas Matter Alliance (BMMA) is a Black women-led cross-sectoral alliance that centers Black mamas and birthing people to advocate, drive research, build power, and shift culture for Black maternal health, rights, and justice.

Healthy nutrition plays an important role in both pregnancy and postpartum recovery. NextHer provides education and resources to help young mothers make informed choices about balanced nutrition, breastfeeding, and infant feeding. Through evidence-based guidance and community support, we empower participants to nurture their own health while giving their babies the healthiest possible start.

Did you know? 1 in 5 moms and 1 in 10 Dads suffer from postpartum depression. We provide direct peer support to families, train professionals, and provide a bridge to connect them.
